İstanbul Kitap Fuarı Başlıyor
Bu sene birbirinden önemli
etkinliklere ev sahipliği yapacak olan TÜYAP Kitap Fuarı 30 Ekim-7 Kasım 2010
tarihleri arasında TÜYAP Fuar ve Kongre Merkezi Büyükçekmece’de düzenleniyor.
TÜRÇEK Yönetim Kurulu toplantısı nedeniyle ilk gün fuara gidemeyeceğim.
Bu yıl şirketten arkadaşlarla sosyal faaliyetler kapsamında fuara gitmek
istiyoruz fakat henüz yeterince bilet bulamadığımız için sosyal faaliyet olayı
riskte. Ama her halükarda benim 4 biletim hazır 2 gün boyunca fuarı
tavaftayım. Ana teması “İstanbul’u Yazmak” olarak belirlenen kitap
fuarı İstanbul’u yazan yazarları fuara davet etmiş. Bu kapsamda
baba-kızın John Freely ve Maureen Freely ilk kez bir söyleşide bir araya
gelecek.

Beş yıl önce satın aldığım
kitaplarını imzalatmak için Fransa'ya göndermeye karar verdiğim
ama gönderimi yapacakken ihracat yapan şirket muamelesine tabi olmam
gerektiğini öğrendiğimde bu fikrimden vazgeçtiğim kitapların sahibi Jean
Christophe Grangé İstanbul Kitap Fuarı’nda kitaplarımı imzalamaya gelmiş. Limon
Ağacı kitabının yazarı Sandy Tolan da kitap fuarın önemli
isimleri arasında. Doğan Kuban'a iki kitap ve Grangé'a tüm seriyi imzalatacağız.

This will be the first time a country will be the Guest of Honor of the fair with its culture and literature, starting with Spain. Events associated with Spain will take place at the International Hall (Hall 5) from October 30th to November 2nd. Among the events to be held are interviews with visiting authors, exhibitions, and opening and closing concerts. Legendary cartoon artist Gallieno Ferri, the creator of Zagor, will visit Turkey for the first time and meet his readership at the Istanbul Book Fair. An event that will include many cartoon artists from Italy will take place on Saturday, November 6th. Jean Christophe Grangé, the bestselling author of novels translated from French, will hold an autograph session and an interview at the Book Fair. Another remarkable guest of the fair will be Sandy Tolan, the author of The Lemon Tree. The main theme of the fair will be “Writing Istanbul,” and guests include writers who have written on Istanbul. As part of this theme, writers John Freely and Maureen Freely will attend an interview together – the first time for the father and the daughter. A very important event to take place during the Istanbul Book Fair will be the IPA Freedom to Publish Awards Ceremony. The Istanbul Book Fair will be held concurrently with the 20th Istanbul Art Fair, also organized by TÜYAP Fairs and Exhibitions. Admission is free for students, teachers and retirees, and is 5 TL for the general public. Visiting hours of the fairs will be 11 am-8 pm between the 30th of October and 6th of November, and 11 am-7 pm on November 7th. Visiting hours of the International Hall will be between 11 am and 6 pm from October 30th to November 2nd.
